I got my first native american flute a couple months ago in Cherokee NC and I love playing it. I just got a second…a cedar in F sharp. It bigger and harder to play but Im getting the hang of it. Your videos helped bunches. (even for me….the musically challenged) I cant wait to take it camping in the mountains and play for my family.

It’s good to find your videos on youtube! My first flute was your Red Tail Hawk. I’ve really enjoyed playing it. You can see me playing it at Our Lady of the Lake Univerity on youtube. Just do a search for PeacePilgrim and click on Amazing Grace. I’m looking forward to getting a Condor Bass soon. Christmas maybe? Also, I enjoyed meeting you at The National Flute oc. conference in Albuquerque. Hope to see you again down the road. Yours in harmony, Chuck (PeacePilgrim)

Sorry you’re having …
Sorry you’re having difficulties. I ume that you didn’t buy it direct from me because I ship within 3 days. There could be a couple reasons why you may have difficulties. The fetish (bird) should be firmly seated (tied down) and not move easily, and be positioned so it’s never covering any part of the rectangular sound hole (fipple). It should sit just slightly behind the sound hole. If you can’t get a good voice out of the flute, you can call to discuss a potential fix: 800-394-1523.

Thank you! By the way, on my videos we used a simple Radio Shack “tie clip” microphone: a single mike picked up both my voice and the flute. I’ve been very pleased with the quality of those litte mikes. They’ve change the style recently so I don’t know if those will work as well, but for $12 it worth a try if you want to amplify or record your flute.

Our very first we …
Our very first we page (not a site, but one single page) was in about 1995 and called the Sparrow Hawk “a backpacker’s flute” (the page was a listing of California State Parks websites, sponsored by High Spirits. The smaller flutes are fun to take along too and they are smaller and lighter.
